Before sending your Custom CD order, here's some useful packaging and important shipping information to know:
PACKAGE YOUR PACKAGE
It's very important that your order arrives in one piece. When possible, use plenty of extra padding of newspaper, bubblewrap or whatever to make sure your musical sources (via CD, cassette and/or vinyl) are protected while traveling through the mail. Major carrier services are not responsible for items that are received broken.
As far as sending rare or valuable music sources, make sure to aquire additional insurance just in case something happens to your package in transit. Some things cannot be replaced, so think twice before shipping something that money can't buy.
SHIPPING FEE
A flat $5.00 shipping fee is charged to each custom disc order to cover the cost of packaging supplies, mailing your new Custom CD -and- to send your supplied sources (up to 1 lb) via U.S. Postal Service "Priority Mail" with Delivery Confirmation.
If you want your order *returned* Insured and/or Registered mail, you must include the appropriate amount of funds. For the latest U.S. Postal Service rates, visit their web site at - www.usps.com.
RETURN POSTAGE
Return Postage is only required to send back provided sources that exceed 1 lb. If your package weighs more than 1 lb, you must add the appropriate amount of postage or the order will not be shipped back with your sources until additional funds are received. You can easily calculate the charges at the USPS Calculate Postage site.
For large LP orders in which the albums are being returned, please have the U.S. Postal Service weigh the package *before* you send it.
NO MAILING FEES?
Yes and no. If you provide a completed FedEx airbill with *your* account number, Shipping and Return Postage charges are *not* applicable on the Custom CD Contract. Keep in mind, this means *you* will be paying the postage for sending -and- returing the package.
Please remember to only use active account numbers for FedEx, as they will not deliver packages with postage due.
